The Alchemical Portal (My Primordial Dream)

This canvas is my home. It has lived with me, held space for me, and guarded my quietest creative awakenings for over twenty-two years. Looking back at it now feels like reading the very first entry of an old diary—it is raw, uncompromised, and completely alive with the magic of a beginning.
I painted this at the very dawn of my artistic journey. I remember the absolute thrill of watching this silver-white unicorn take shape, rearing in pure, wild triumph right in the center of a cosmic storm. To me, it was never just a mythical creature; it was the physicalization of an idea breaking through the veil of the unmanifested world, slicing its horn straight through the boundary lines into reality. Around it, I built a spinning world of overlapping circles and jewel-toned mosaics that always reminded me of backlit stained glass in an ancient sanctuary.
For more than two decades, I refused to let it go. It held the original blueprint of my creative frequency. If I am putting it into the Vault now, it is with a very deliberate intention. It carries the energy of a lifetime of dreams, and the only energy exchange that could ever make me part with it is one that expands my physical world—a home for a home.
Behind the Brush
Because this was one of my earliest large-scale works, I didn’t rely on thick textures or heavy paint. The magic of this piece belongs entirely to patience, smooth linework, and the slow blending of fine, translucent layers.
Look closely at the body of the unicorn—it is built with long, fluid, sweeping strokes that make it feel almost wind-like and ethereal. I spent hours balancing the composition, contrasting the strict, sharp geometric rays of yellow light on the left against that fine, intricately woven, almost frantic storm of fiery crimson and orange lines in the top right. It was my first true lesson in bringing chaos and absolute stillness together on a single piece of cloth.
